Currently running projects related to OSCAR

OSCAR’s efforts to optimize cover cropping and living mulch systems are not isolated: The project is linked to several research projects with related topics. Find out more by clicking on the links below. If you are involved in a project which is not listed below but you think is relevant, please let us know here.

TILMAN-ORG (Reduced tillage and green manures for sustainable organic cropping systems) is a European research project funded by CORE2, running from 2011 to 2014 and led by FIBL. Common interests with OSCAR include cover crops and reduced tillage.

Legume Futures (Legume-supported cropping systems for Europe), running from 2010 to 2014, is a European project funded by the EU under the FP7 Programme. It is relevant for OSCAR’s research programme because of its focus on the effect and use of legumes in crop rotations.

SOLIBAM (Strategies for organic and low-input breeding and management) is a European FP7 funded project, running from 2010 to 2015 and led by INRA. A part of SOLIBAM that is particularly relevant for OSCAR is the activity of co-breeding cereals and legumes for diversified cropping systems.

CA2Africa (Conservation Agriculture in AFRICA: Analysing and Foreseeing its Impact - Comprehending its Adoption) is a project running 2010-2013 in Africa.

Evolutionary Agroecology (Developing High Density, Communal Crop Plants for Weed Suppression and Increased Sustainability) is a Danish research programme at the University of Copenhagen, focussing on the manipulating of competition among plants in plant production systems. It is running from 2006 to 2012.

CAPSELLA Project launched on January 1th 2016 under Horizon 2020 will establish a Collective Awareness Platform for Environmentally-sound Land Management based on Data Technologies and Agrobiodiversity.
